What Is Tracked
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Total views | Number of times the shared document was loaded by visitors |
How Views Are Counted
- Each page load counts as one view.
- Refreshing the page increments the counter.
- Views from the document owner (you) are also counted.
- Views through embeds (iframe, widget, popup) are counted the same way as direct link visits.
Use Cases
- Measure interest — see if your tutorial or guide is getting traction.
- Justify upgrades — high view counts can justify upgrading to a paid plan for additional sharing features.
- Track distribution — after sending a link to a group, check whether they actually opened it.
