Overview
Expiry dates let you set a deadline after which a share link stops working. This is useful for time-sensitive content like project proposals, limited-access previews, or temporary client reviews.Expiry dates are available on Pro and Business plans.
How to Set an Expiry Date
Open the Share panel
In the editor, click Share and create a share link (or select an existing one).
Select the date
Use the date picker to choose when the link should expire. The link stops working at the end of the selected day (23:59 UTC).
What Happens When a Link Expires
- Visitors see a message that the link is no longer available.
- The document is not deleted — only the share link is deactivated.
- You can extend or remove the expiry at any time from the Share panel.
Managing Expiry
- Extend — open the Share panel and pick a new, later date.
- Remove — toggle the expiry off. The link becomes permanently active again (unless you disable it manually).
- Already expired? — you can reactivate an expired link by setting a future date or removing the expiry.
