Payment Processor

clarife uses Paddle as its payment processor. Paddle is a Merchant of Record, which means Paddle handles all payment processing, tax calculation, and compliance on behalf of clarife.
Charges on your bank statement will appear as “PADDLE.NET” or “PADDLE”, not “clarife”.

The available payment methods displayed at checkout depend on your location. Paddle automatically shows the most relevant options for your country.

How Payments Work

Choose a plan

Select your plan and billing interval from the billing page or pricing page.

Paddle checkout opens

A secure Paddle checkout overlay appears. Your payment data is handled entirely by Paddle — clarife never sees your card details.

Tax is calculated

Paddle automatically calculates applicable VAT or sales tax based on your location.

Payment is processed

Once confirmed, Paddle processes the payment and clarife activates your plan immediately.

Currency

Paddle supports multiple currencies. The checkout will display prices in your local currency when available. The actual charge amount may vary slightly due to exchange rates.

Updating Your Payment Method

To update your card or payment method:
  1. Go to Settings > Billing.
  2. Click Manage subscription.
  3. Update your payment details through the Paddle management portal.

Paddle is our payment processor and Merchant of Record. All charges are processed through Paddle, so the charge appears under their name on your statement.
Yes. Paddle is PCI DSS Level 1 compliant. Your card details are processed by Paddle’s secure infrastructure — clarife never stores or has access to your payment data.
Bank transfers are not supported for individual subscriptions. For enterprise needs, contact support@clarife.app.
You enter a 14-day grace period. Paddle will retry the payment and you will receive reminder emails. See Failed Payments for details.
