The screenshot enhancer transforms plain screenshots into polished visuals by adding device frames, colorful backgrounds, shadows, and rounded corners. It is ideal for marketing materials, product documentation, and any tutorial where presentation matters.

Opening the Enhancer

Click the Enhance button on any screenshot block that has an image. The enhancer opens in a modal with a live preview of your enhanced screenshot and a controls panel on the side.

Frames

Frames wrap your screenshot inside a realistic device or UI mockup. Three frame categories are available:

Device Frames

Place your screenshot inside a realistic device mockup. Available devices:
CategoryDevices
PhonesiPhone 17 Pro (Deep Blue, Cosmic Orange, Silver), Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Ultra
TabletsiPad Pro 11” (4 variants), iPad Pro 13” (4 variants), iPad Pro Landscape, Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
LaptopsMacBook Pro 16” (3 variants), MacBook Air 15” (2 variants)
Each device frame shows a recommended image resolution for the best fit. Your screenshot will be scaled to fill the device screen area regardless of its dimensions.

Browser Frame

Wraps your screenshot in a browser window chrome, resembling a desktop browser with the familiar title bar dots and address bar. Available styles:
StyleDescription
macOS LightWhite background, colored traffic light dots
macOS DarkDark gray background, colored traffic light dots

Card Frame

A simple wrapper with rounded corners and a drop shadow. The card frame works well when you want a clean, modern look without implying a specific device.

Backgrounds

Add a background behind the framed (or unframed) screenshot. This creates visual contrast and makes the screenshot stand out.

Solid Colors

Choose from a color picker to set a single solid background color.

Select from 12 preset gradients:

Enhanced Images in Exports

Enhanced screenshots appear in all export formats (PDF, HTML, Markdown, presentation, AI video) exactly as they look in the editor — the enhancement is baked into the image file.
The enhanced image is composited (flattened) into a new file. The original un-enhanced screenshot is preserved. You can re-enhance from the original or replace the screenshot to start over.
Yes. You can annotate first, then enhance (or vice versa). Each operation composites onto the current image. The typical workflow is: upload, annotate, then enhance.
Enhanced images may be larger than the original because they include the frame, background, and additional visual elements. The increase depends on the background type and frame complexity.
You are likely on the Free plan. Enhancer features require a Pro or Business subscription. Upgrade from the billing page.
The browser frame (macOS Light or Dark) is the best choice for web application screenshots, as it provides realistic browser chrome context. Use device frames for mobile or tablet UI screenshots.
