Soft Delete

When you delete a document, it moves to the Trash rather than being permanently removed. This gives you a safety net in case you accidentally delete something.

Trash Retention

Deleted documents remain in the trash for 30 days. After 30 days, they are automatically and permanently deleted by a daily cleanup process.
Once a document is permanently deleted (either manually or after the 30-day retention period), it cannot be recovered. All associated screenshots, annotations, and generated videos are also removed.

Restoring Documents

1

Open the Trash

Click Trash in the left sidebar to view all deleted documents.
2

Find your document

Browse or search for the document you want to restore.
3

Click Restore

Click the Restore button on the document card. The document returns to your main library.

Permanent Deletion

To permanently delete a document before the 30-day window:
  1. Open the Trash from the sidebar
  2. Click the Delete permanently button on the document
  3. Confirm the action in the dialog

Storage Reclamation

Storage is reclaimed only when a document is permanently deleted. While a document sits in the trash, its screenshots and files still count toward your storage quota.
If you are running low on storage, empty your trash to free up space immediately.
